We however have to be careful about appropriating this faith as ours as if it is of our own doing. Maybe I'm wrong but I hear some Christians seem to take pride in their faith. "I have a strong faith," with great emphasis on "I" with a tone that belies humility. As a result they tend to look at others as being inferior whether consciously or unconsciously. "You must have a strong faith." We seem to forget that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is not our achievement that we should compare ourselves with those who seem to be still struggling. Rather we should show compassion and humility for after all, "All of us have come short of the glory of God." How easily selfish pride can creep in!
